Since its inception over 75 years ago, Freighter has consistently led trailer design innovation, culminating in delivering trailers today that are focussed on maximising productivity, reducing OH&S risks and lowering driver fatigue. Building a trailer that performs and feels just right is not something that can be taught, it comes through years of experience, testing and knowledge. Freighter has all of that and more. Since 1946, Freighter has been designing strong, reliable and durable trailers that deliver maximum payload and minimise the total cost of ownership.
Now, with the help of Action Manufacturing and Fairfax Industries, our capacity to supply customers with units on time and in specification has significantly increased. We offer the largest range of locally manufactured and imported rigid bodies/trailers.

FAIRFAX INDUSTRIES
Fairfax offers an all-new innovative removable skid-plate. Checks can be performed quickly and easily. If wear does occur, the skid-plates can be replaced in half a day. Gone are the days of having a trailer off the road for weeks to slice out a tired skid-plate.
In addition, Fairfax offers unique refrigerated semi-trailers using their own frameless, one-piece, design. The resulting body requires no framing, joins, bolts or rivets - meaning no leaks and no rust. Our bodies are lightweight, exceptionally strong, and provide excellent thermal performance.

The simplicity of our turn-key manufacturing operation allows us to take a concept and design and manufacture it consistently across five locations across Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.

But it doesn’t stop there. All Freighter stock units or built to order, include a 2-year warranty with 150,000kms, and all Fairfax Signature products with a 2-year warranty with 300,000kms. Our customers have direct access to OEM parts, engineering and warranty support, as well as established service locations with the capability to service and repair all makes and models of commercial trailers.
